Belgian Rawk n’ Roll band Fat Bastard announces new album Barely Dressed with first single “Never Told me her Name”
Single “Never Told me her Name”:
Get ready for an exciting new chapter in the Fat Bastard Discography as they prepare to release their latest single, “Never Told Me Her Name.” This track promises to be a standout in their upcoming album “Barely Dressed”, blending their signature rock ‘n’ roll sound with fresh Mexicana influences.
“Never Told Me Her Name” tells the captivating story of a wild night with a beautiful girl, only for the protagonist to wake up and find her gone, without ever learning her name. The song’s narrative is both intriguing and relatable, capturing the fleeting nature of some encounters and the lingering mystery they leave behind.
Fat Bastard has incorporated Mexicana influences into their sound, creating a unique fusion that adds a new dimension to their music. The addition of trumpets, played by Bert O’Hara from the Belgian band The O’Hara’s, brings a vibrant and lively element to the track!
Formed in 2007, Fat Bastard has built a reputation for their raw and energetic rock ‘n’ roll style. With powerful vocals, driving rhythms and riffs, they have consistently delivered high-energy performances and authentic rock music.
“Never Told Me Her Name” showcases their versatility and willingness to experiment, pushing the boundaries of their sound while staying true to their roots.
As Fat Bastard continues to evolve and experiment with their music, “Never Told Me Her Name” marks an exciting chapter in their musical journey. This single is a perfect example of their creative prowess and willingness to take risks.
Fat Bastard explains:
‘The song was originally titled “Hole in the Wall”, about building a wall between the US and Mexico during the first Trump reign (yes, that long ago). When preproducing our records in 2023, he was “long gone” from the oval office, so we decided to change the lyrics. Now, the release will practically coincide with the start of Donald II…’.
Although the album was recorded in late 2023, we didn’t mind waiting until 2025 to release it upon the masses.
As 2025 celebrates 50 Years of Motörhead, we knew we wanted to wait as our song Mr. Rock is a tribute to the life of Lemmy, We are the (over)Killers is a song that resonates with the Motörhead discography and Tiger Queen is a love poem like we feel Lemmy would have written it.
