Soulcrux (est. 2020) is a symphonic metal band from Oslo, Norway. We combine heavy riffing, big
orchestral arrangements, and a mix of classical and contemporary vocals to deliver a unique and
exciting sound.
Our current lineup consists of Kristin Frivold-Davidson (lead vocals), Morgaine Wood (bass guitar and
backing vocals), Markus Lappalainen (guitars and orchestration) and Toni Grbešić (lead guitar).
So far our drums have been performed and recorded by a guest drummer, Olli Lappalainen, who is part
of the Finnish blackened death metal band Gomorran. Our music is exclusively mixed and prepared for
release by engineer Peter Berg in Lier, Norway.

“Dust” is Soulcrux’s second single, due to be released across all streaming platforms on June 19th, 2022.
This track is shorter, faster, and heavier than “Amelie” and utilises Kristin’s classical voice to a much
larger degree.
We consider this track to be more radio-friendly than our debut due to the shorter run time (03.06) and
slightly more mainstream sound. However, Soulcrux has a sound all of our own and we feel that this
track still offers something exciting and unique!
This is also the first track that Toni, our lead guitarist, features on. He composed and performed the
solo towards the end of the song.
As with “Amelie”, Olli Lappalainen, of the Finnish blackened death metal band Gomorran, was our
guest drummer on this track.
